How to make your wireless connection secure
Configuring Your Router with the best WiFi Encryption Protocol
Ensuring the safety of your computer network is safe to use is really important in this online world. WiFi encryption is your first line of defense against potential threats. You don’t have to be a networking expert to configure your network security. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to configure your router with advanced WiFi encryption.
Is your WiFi security secure?
If you’ve been using weak encryption such as Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) or Wireless Protection Protocol (WPA) your network is not safe from attack. Sometimes vendors that install computer products default to using easy and weak encryption protocols. Hackers can gain access to your wireless home and business network, slow your network down by stealing access, delete or modify sensitive HR, financial data and passwords, and spy on your online activities. Even worse they can hold your computers and data hostage with a ransomware attack. That’s why Flagstaff Tech Net recommends switching to WPA2 or better encryption such as WPA3, the gold standard in business network security.
